Reverend Jerry L. Wyatt is a native Atlantan, born and raised in the Edgewood / Kirkwood Community. He attended Wesley Avenue and Kirkwood Elementary Schools and graduated from Bass High School, Class of 71. Upon graduation he attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Later he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology / Social Data Analysis from Georgia State University.
Reverend Wyatt was raised and nurtured in the Church. As a youth he attended Turner Monumental Church on Whiteford and Boulevard.
He was baptized in 1994 by Reverend William Flippin of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church.
In 2008, he moved to Monticello, GA where he joined the Springfield Baptist Church under the Leadership of Reverend Doctor Jimmy Horton.
He accepted his faith calling to the Ministry and was licensed to preach in October 2012.
In 2017 he was ordained and currently serves as an Associate Minister at his Church.
He is a member of Springfield’s Senior Choir; Superintendent of Sunday School and he has ministered at the Jasper County Jail for the last 5 years. He also serves as a Mentor in the Jasper County Mentoring Program.
Jerry shares the anointing with a living testimony of the awesomeness of a sovereign GOD we serve. His path has been ordered by the LORD.
Words that Reverend Wyatt live by are found in his two favorite passages of the Bible, Isaiah 26:3 and Romans 12:2.
He is a destined man of GOD to be a servant as well as a witness for the LORD to GOD’S people. He is proud and grateful for the ways GOD has chosen to use him in the ministries through the seen as well as the unseen.
Reverend Wyatt has one daughter, a son (deceased) and 6 grandchildren.
